New customers that download the Kit application available on the official Apple or Google Play app stores and accessed locally on your device (Kit App), create an account, create at least one child profile and apply their promotional code provided by Sydney Zoo will pay $0 Kit membership fee for 2 months following their 30-day free trial.*

Terms and Conditions and Eligibility Criteria  

Terms and Conditions  

Kit Membership Fees apply to the Kit Account holder’s use of the Kit Card and Account.  The Kit Account and Card details and fees are set out in more detail in Kit’s Product Disclosure Statement and Kit Card and Account Terms and Conditions available at www.heykit.com.au/legal. 

Kit will waive Kit Membership Fees for 60 days, subject to (a) a customer’s agreement to these terms and conditions, and (b)  such customer meeting the eligibility criteria for the Kit Account (set out in the Kit Card and Account Terms and Conditions) and for this promotion (set out below).   

The 60-day waiver in this promotion will follow the separate Kit Account 30-day free trial period (which is detailed through the Kit Card and Account Terms and Conditions available at https://www.heykit.com.au/legal).  Therefore, eligible users of this promotion may have fees waived for a total period of 90 days (which is comprised of the 30-day trial period plus this additional 60-day promotion). Together we refer to this period as the Fee Waiver Period.  

Starting the day after the Fee Waiver Period ends, Kit will charge you at the frequency you’ve nominated in the Kit app (monthly or annually), based on the number of children you have successfully submitted a profile for in the Kit app (Kit Fee).  

The Kit Fee will be charged:  

(a) to the bank account you have linked to your Kit Account through the Kit app;  

(b) on your next charge date displayed in the Kit app; and  

(c)  based on when you opened your account (taking into account these terms and conditions).  

At all times, you will be able to view and manage your Kit Membership Fee type in the Kit app.    

You can always cancel your membership in the Kit app by closing your Kit Account and following the cancellation process set out in the Kit Card and Account Terms and Conditions. If you close your account, you forfeit the remaining term of any trial or promotional period.  

Eligibility Criteria  

You must satisfy the following conditions to be eligible for this promotion: 

  • You are aged 18 or above and are an Australian resident; 
  • You are a new Kit customer who has not previously held a Kit Account.  (This promotion is only available to new Kit customers and cannot be applied to an existing Kit Account.)  
  • You have applied the promotional code for this promotion during the Kit Account onboarding process within the Kit app, and you have not applied another promotional code.  (Eligible users of this promotion code may only apply one Kit promotion code.  The exception to this restriction is the separate Kit offer to existing Commbank Yello customers, which is an offer that may be used with this promotion and is separately set out at www.heykit.com.au/yello);  
  • You have successfully created a Kit Account through the Kit App, including linking a parent/guardian bank account, and creating a child profile before the 30 June 2025; and   
  • You have reviewed and agreed to comply with any of our eligibility criteria and terms and conditions that are made available to you during the Kit app download process and Kit Account opening process. Kit Instagram July Competition 

 Competition introduction
  1. The competition name is the Kit Instagram July Competition (“the Competition”).  
  2. The promoter is CBA New Digital Businesses Pty Ltd ABN 38 633 072 830, trading as Hey Kit (the “Promoter”). CBA New Digital Businesses Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia ABN 48 123 123 124 (“CBA”) and has a registered business address of Commonwealth Bank Place South, Level 1, 11 Harbour Street, Sydney NSW 2000.  
  3. The Competition commences at 5.00PM (AEST time) on 26 July 2024 and closes at 11.59PM (AEST time) on 31July 2024 (“Competition Period”). 
Competition prize
  1. Subject to these terms and conditions, each Winner (as defined in clause 8 below) will be able to choose one of the three prizes (each a “Prize”) on offer under this Competition, which are: 
  • A pack of four (4) tickets to MONOPOLY DREAMS Melbourne, (the tickets can be redeemed as any MONOPOLY DREAMS Melbourne General Admission ticket including Adult (16+), Child (3-15) and Concession.) valued at $165 - $176 AUD; OR 
  • A pack of four (4) Unlimited Pass Sydney Zoo tickets (the winner will have their choice of 1 x Adult ticket and 3 x Child tickets, or 2 x Adult tickets and 2 x Child tickets); OR 
  • One (1) $200 Visa gift card. 
The total value of each Prize is up to $200 AUD, and the winner of each Prize will be randomly drawn as set out below in these terms.     
  1. The Prizes are subject to the following conditions. 
    a. The MONOPOLY DREAMS Melbourne tickets will expire on February 1, 2026, and any balance remaining on that date will not be available for use by the Prize recipient nor replaced by the Promoter.  
    b. Once the user has activated their unlimited pass, they have unlimited visits to Sydney Zoo for 12 months from the date of their first visit. Any balance remaining on that date will not be available for use by the Prize recipient nor replaced by the Promoter.  
    c. The Visa gift card will expire according to the month and year found on the winner’s tokenised card as shown on their device.
    d. The prize does not include travel to or from MONOPOLY DREAMS Melbourne or Sydney Zoo, nor any costs or expenses associated with such travel, nor any food, drink, souvenirs or other purchases the Prize recipient may make at the venue. 
Eligibility   
  1. Entry into the Competition is open to Australian residents who at the time of entry:   
    a. Are over the age of 18;   
    b. Are an Australian resident;
    c. Are not an employee or an immediate family member (spouse, parent, sibling or child) of an employee of the Promoter or of the Promoter's related entities directly involved in the Promotion (as determined by the Promoter);
    d. Are following Kit on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/kitappau/);
    e. Fulfil the entry requirements set out in clause 7; and 
    f. Agree to these terms and conditions.
("Eligible Participants").        
How to enter and winner selection
  1. Eligible Participants must enter the competition by 31 July 2024 at 11:59PM (AEST time), by:   
    a. electronically “Liking” the Kit Instagram July Competition post; and 
    b. Commenting in response to the Kit Instagram July Competition post prompt Leave a comment on this post telling us what your little grownup is saving for.’
  2. One (1) Eligible Participant will be selected electronically at random to win the Prizes ("Winner"), utilising a random prize draw system at The Foundry, 1 Locomotive St, Eveleigh, NSW 2015. The random prize draw will take place at 9:30AM (AEST) on 1 August 2024 ("Draw"). If you would like to view the draw, please contact us in accordance with clause 29.  
  3. At the time of the Draw, the Promoter will randomly select an additional three (3) Eligible Participants to be reserve winners if the Winners do not claim the Prize in accordance with these Terms and Conditions ("Reserve Winners").  
Announcing the winner
  1. The Winners will be notified within 2 business days of the Draw via the comment section of the Kit Instagram July Competition post. The comment notifying the Winners will provide instructions on how the Winner may claim the Prize.  Please note that Kit will never ask Winners to provide any bank account, credit card or other personal payment details in order to claim the Prize.
Claiming the prize
  1. The Winner must claim their Prize by 4:00PM (AEST) on 5 August 2024 after the Prize has been awarded to them by confirming receipt of the announcement comment by responding to the message by emailing media@heykit.com.au.
    a. The Winner may be asked to verify their identity by emailing Kit via the email address attached to their Kit account.
  2. If a Winner does not claim their Prize in that time:  
    a. The Winner will be taken to have forfeited the Prize and the Promoter will instead award the Prize to the Reserve Winner that was next drawn for the Prize;    
    b. The Promoter will then notify the relevant Reserve Winner via the comment section of the Kit Instagram July Competition post within 2 business days of the Prize being awarded to them; and   
    c. The Reserve Winner must claim their Prize within 10 business days of being notified pursuant to clause 12(b).   
  3. If none of the initial 3 Reserve Winners claims the Prize within 10 business days of being notified, then the Promotor will continue to (a) draw other Reserve Winners using the same random prize draw process in clause 9 above and (b) use the same process for announcing winners as set out in clause 12 above. 
  4. The Winner or Reserve Winner will receive the Prize in digital format, and it will be sent via email following the Promoter’s instructions to the Winner or Reserve Winner (referenced in clause 10 above).  
  5. As a condition of claiming the Prize, the Winner or Reserve Winner (as the case may be) (Prize Recipient), must:   
    a. Accept these terms;   
    b. Consent to the publication of their name in accordance with these terms (or contact the Promoter if consent is withheld);   
    c. Consent to the Promoter using the Prize Recipient's name in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of this Promotion (including any outcome);    
    d. Sign any legal release and indemnity as may be reasonably required by the Promoter and/or any suppliers of any elements of the Prize; and     
    e. Consent to the Promoter sharing the Prize Recipient’s name and email address with card.gift to facilitate delivery of the Visa gift card, in the event they select this Prize.
General   
  1. Information on how to enter and prize details set out in all communications regarding the Promotion forms part of these terms. 
  2. Any entry not complying with these terms is invalid. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. 
  3. Any complaints regarding the Promotion may be submitted to the email set out in clause 29 below in these terms. If there is a dispute concerning the complaint, the decision of the Promoter is final, and binding and no further correspondence will be entered into unless the Promoter agrees otherwise (acting reasonably).  
  4. Beneficiaries of the Prize accept the Prize ‘as is’ and acknowledge that the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from their Prize. Beneficiaries of the Prize should seek advice from the Australian Tax Office or their own taxation adviser or independent financial adviser. 
  5. Promoter reserves the right, at any time, in its sole discretion, to verify the validity of entries and Entrants (including an Entrant’s identity, age, and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant whom the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these terms, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. 
  6. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine an entry as invalid if the Participant uses inappropriate or discriminatory language within their entry or otherwise acts or is reasonably suspected to act in an inappropriate matter with respect to this Competition.
  7. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned (including, but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion), the Promoter may, subject to the approval of all relevant regulatory authorities, take any action that may be available including cancelling, terminating, modifying or suspending the Promotion. 
  8. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 
  9. Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the states and territories of Australia (Non-Excludable Guarantees). 
  10. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter and its related entities (including its respective directors, officers, employees and agents) are not responsible for and exclude all liability, for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (that are not wholly under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference (by a third party not wholly under the Promoter’s control); (c) any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in Prize value not within the Promoter’s reasonable control to that stated in these terms; (e) any tax liability incurred by a beneficiary of a Prize (including an Entrant and the Prize Recipient); and (f) use/taking of the Prize (unless wholly under control of the Promoter). 
  11. All entries become the sole property of the Promoter. The Promoter may use your personal information so that it may contact you about your entry or receiving a Prize. 
  12. The Promoter may communicate personal information to external providers and organisations to which it may outsource certain functions like the storage of data for our organisation. 
  13. The Promoter will use and handle any personal information you may provide as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at  https://www.heykit.com.au/. The Privacy Policy sets out how you may access, update or correct your personal information, change your direct marketing preferences or make a privacy complaint. 
  14. You may contact the Promoter via support@heykit.com.au.    
  15. The Promoter promotes this trade promotion on its own behalf, and not on behalf of its parent company Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) or its other Related Bodies Corporate (as that term is defined in the Australian Corporation Act).  Any entrant’s or Winner’s rights under this trade promotion are enforceable only against Promoter, and Promoter’s obligations are owned only by the Promoter. Notwithstanding any other terms of this trade promotion to the contrary:(i) nothing in this Agreement binds CBA or its other Related Bodies Corporate in contract or otherwise; and (ii) the Promoter is not an agent or otherwise authorised to make representations on behalf of CBA or its other Related Bodies Corporate.

Announcing the winner
  1. The Winners will be notified within 2 business days of the Draw via the comment section of the Kit Instagram June Competition post. The comment notifying the Winners will provide instructions on how the Winner may claim the Prize.   
Claiming the prize
  1. The Winner must claim their Prize by 4:00PM (AEST) on 26 June 2024 after the Prize has been awarded to them by confirming receipt of the announcement comment by responding to the message and/or emailing media@heykit.com.au.
  2. If a Winner does not claim their Prize in that time:  
    a. The Winner will be taken to have forfeited the Prize and the Promoter will instead award the Prize to the Reserve Winner that was next drawn for the Prize;   
    b. The Promoter will then notify the relevant Reserve Winner via the comment section of the Kit Instagram June Competition post within 2 business days of the Prize being awarded to them; and  
    c. The Reserve Winner must claim their Prize within 10 business days of being notified pursuant to clause 12(b).  
  3. If none of the initial 3 Reserve Winners claims the Prize within 10 business days of being notified, then the Promotor will continue to (a) draw other Reserve Winners using the same random prize draw process in clause 9 above and (b) use the same process for announcing winners as set out in clause 12 above.

  5. As a condition of claiming the Prize, the Winner or Reserve Winner (as the case may be) (Prize Recipient), must:

8. Three (3) Eligible Participants will be selected electronically at random to win the Prizes ("Winner"), utilising a random prize draw system at The Foundry, 1 Locomotive St, Eveleigh, NSW 2015. The random prize draw will take place at 4:30PM (AEST) on 28 May 2024 ("Draw"). If you would like to view the draw, please contact us in accordance with clause 30. 

9. At the time of the Draw, the Promoter will randomly select an additional three (3) Eligible Participants to be reserve winners if the Winners do not claim the Prize in accordance with these Terms and Conditions ("Reserve Winners").  

    

Announcing the Winner

  1. The Winners will be notified within 2 business days of the draw via the comment section of the Kit Community Facebook Group Competition post. The comment notifying the Winners will provide instructions on how the Winner may claim the Prize.   

    

Claiming the Prize

  1. The Winner must claim their Prize by 4:00PM (AEST) on 4 June 2024 after the Prize has been awarded to them by confirming receipt of the announcement comment by responding to the message and providing a valid email address. 
  2. If the Winner does not claim their Prize in that time:  
    A. The Winner will be taken to have forfeited the Prize and the Promoter will instead award the Prize to the Reserve Winner to have been next drawn;    
    B. The Promoter will notify the Reserve Winner via the comment section of the Kit Community Facebook Group Competition post within 2 business days of the Prize being awarded to them; and   
    C. The Reserve Winner must claim their Prize within 10 business days of being notified pursuant to clause 12(b). 
  3. If none of the initial 3 Reserve Winners claims the Prize within 10 business days of being notified, then the Promotor will continue to draw other Reserve Winners using the same random prize draw process in paragraph 9 above.
  4. The Winner or Reserve Winner will receive the Prize in digital format, and it will be sent via email. 
  5. As a condition of claiming the Prize, the Winner or Reserve Winner (as the case may be) (Prize Recipient), must:  
    A. Accept these terms;

1.  The competition name is the Kit Money Chats Competition (“the Competition”).

13.  If the Winner does not claim their Prize in that time:  

a.  The Winner will be taken to have forfeited the Prize and the Promoter will instead award the Prize to the Reserve Winner to have been next drawn;   

b.  The Promoter will notify the Reserve Winner by email to the email address provided by the Reserve Winner in the Kit Beta sign up form within 2 business days of the Prize being awarded to them; and  

c.  The Reserve Winner must claim their Prize within 10 business days of being notified pursuant to clause 13(b).  

14.  If a Reserve Winner does not claim the Prize within 10 business days, the process set out in clause 13 shall be applied again, and so on until the Prize has been claimed. 

15.  The Winner or Reserve Winner will receive the Prize in digital format and it will be sent via email.  

16.  As a condition of claiming the Prize, the Winner or Reserve Winner (as the case may be) (Prize Recipient), must:   

a.  Accept these terms;  

b.  Consent to the publication of their name in accordance with these terms (or contact the Promoter if consent is withheld);  

c.  Consent to the Promoter using the Prize Recipient's name in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of this Promotion (including any outcome); and   

d. Sign any legal release and indemnity as may be reasonably required by the Promoter and/or any suppliers of any elements of the Prize.  

 

GENERAL  

17.  The Promoter reserves the right at any time, in its sole discretion, to verify the validity of entries and Eligible Participants (including an Eligible Participant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Eligible Participant whom the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these terms, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Competition. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.  

18.  If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned (including, but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition), the Promoter may, subject to the approval of all relevant regulatory authorities, take any action that may be available including cancelling, terminating, modifying or suspending the Competition.   

19.  The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Winner or Reserve Winner accepts the Prize ‘as is’ and acknowledges that the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the voucher.   

20.  The Promoter will collect and use each Eligible Participant’s personal information for the purposes of conducting the Competition (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the Competition Prize, including the prize draw).  

21.  The Promoter adheres to and will use and handle Eligible Participants’ personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy, which can be found on our website heykit.com.au. Eligible Participants may contact the Promoter via email at support@heykit.com.au

22.  Complaints regarding the Competition may be submitted by email to support@heykit.com.au. If there is a dispute concerning the complaint, the decision of the Promoter is final and binding and no further correspondence will be entered into.  

23.  To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its related entities and its and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents, will not be liable for any personal injury, loss or damage, whatsoever which is suffered or sustained (including, but not limited to) indirect or consequential, financial or other loss to or by the Eligible Participants. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify a Winner or Reserve Winner who subsequently becomes ineligible or does not meet with the Eligibility requirements. 

24.  Terms or conditions prohibited by law shall be void without prejudice to the remaining terms.
